The babies are growing quickly

The kittens have doubled their weight in size at 11 days old and are wobbling around the cage a little more, they look like little bobble heads the way they wobble to and fro. They opened their eyes yesterday and although it will probably take a few days for them to see clearly, they look as if they are trying to take in the world. They all have blue eyes at this point,a blue, gray smokey color and at the end of next week the eyes should start changing to a permanent color if some of them are not going to remain blue. Daddy Zachary has big copper colored eyes and if any of the kittens get this color it should be the black and blue persian. The himalayans should keep the blue color. I am hoping for all eyes to remain blue as I love those pretty baby blues.

Abigail loves her babies very much and continues to be a great mom, she still cleans up after them and after every meal licks their little bottoms as it stimulates them to potty. Around the end of week three and into week four we will have to introduce the litter box and make some kitten glop and start them on the road to solid foods, I am sure Abigail will be happy to stop nursing as their little nubby teeth will be coming in and the way the pull at her now while nursing, it sometimes looks painful.

They are able to purr already, I noticed it while they were nursing today,

They are going to be very pretty kittens and all have the flat face and big wide head like daddy Zach. The lilac himalayan is the biggest one and I cannot tell for sure as yet, but I bet he is a boy and is the nicest of the litter thus far. A show cat he could be, He was the fourth one born.
